thanks Tristan for the great summary of "wins" - I know there have been times in the last 100 days when many us could never have imagined these victories, how real Americans are showing up.

When I think about this 100 days of chaos, certain images come to mind -

a man in a baklava grabbing someone off the street,

a chart showing a bad day on Wall Street.

a closed social security office,

the crazy-eyed Kash Patel, the "wild and crazy" Pete Hegseth,

Putin with a big smile on his face, the amazing protest in NY City,

and of course, front and center, Elon with his chainsaw....

pictures speak louder than words - hope we can find ways to get this montage of horribles in front of the public in every way possible!

thanks for your inspiration - information is power!

Glad too see someone is telling the people the truth. Americans are 20% poorer due to Trump’s polices. Less money for retirement, less money for weather disasters and less money for everyday needs as prices are increasing. Trump did that in <100 days!

At this point in Biden's term he had a 54% average approval rating. Trump now has approval ratings in low 40's.

When does the House GOP become unafraid of Trump and do their jobs? With a job approval rating that low this affects them in their districts. Maybe it is a tipping point.

Trump and MAGAs literally have to do everything and anything they can to remain in power or they’ll end up in prison with how much criminality and damage they are doing.

Time to wear this "Don't blame me, I voted for her" t shirt 👇

Speaking of national security, Der Spiegel just reported that two Russian spies were arrested and had Hegseth's contact information in their possession. Trump's supposed to keep our country safe, yet he allows this severely compromised ignoramus to continue on as the Department head.....what else do Russian spies now have because of these serious breaches in security??

Thanks for this great article Tristan, I appreciate it, as always. 🙏💙

We the People at Work

The People, the protectors of Democracy, are out and about. What "people," out where, about what--and why? First, millions said "Hand Off"to Trump/Musk et al, then on the 19th via 50501" (50 protests, 5o states, 1 Movement + Indivivable) millions more protested the mess in WDC. Also on the 19th we celebrated the "the shot heard around the world at Lexington and Concord, starting the Revolution and our country. On the 22nd protectors of the environment cleaned up a different kind of mess on Earth Day.

As important as the participants in environmental mess cleanup and American history are, this post is dedicated to the named and unnamed protestors fighting the Trump/Musk Washington, DC, tyrannical mess. Or as Susan Grymes calls it: "Protectors" of democracy, and so shall I in this post.

Who are the Protectors of democracy on April 5, 19th, May 1st--or all the everydays in between and into the future?? We will never know the names of each individual marcher, sign holder (or just standing together in solidarity). But we do know by name some people, advocacy groups, judges and law firms, and other entities who have not been cowed, and have fought back publicly--sometimes under threat of death.. Some, such as Sen. Cory Booker, with his 25 hour righteous speech on ethics, morality, and American democracy, have become an inspiration. Here then, in no particular order of noteworthy (except the first three), are the names of many of the army of protectors of democracy--and remember Courage is Contagious:

(Of course, the list is imperfect, Additions are welcomed. Also re-posting is permitted and encouraged.

So how do we "hold him accountable," short of Civil War scale violence?

This administration is criminal, and will kill those who oppose it. The killing in foreign gulags has started; it's only a matter of time until it's in the middle of Broadway at high noon.

Talk is cheap - and it's totally impotent against this gang of psychotic autocrats.

The fascists who constitute this regime - these religious fundamentalists, these oligarchs, these mentally unsound malevolents - do not care about polls. They are looking to destroy everything we hold dear about this country and to turn it into some sort of feudal state. Face it, in that they are largely succeeding and they have only been in power for about 100 days. I hope to God I'm wrong, but I seriously doubt that the midterm elections are going to be held. Why on earth would the fascists cede power when they hold all the reins of government in their clammy hands? Trump will "postpone" the midterms under some pretext or other, perhaps through a manufactured "emergency." For those who think our laws will hold, please consider that Trump has already made a mockery of the law by dispensing with habeas corpus, the very foundation of jurisprudence.

If this regime is to be stopped, it has to happen through mass civil disobedience and general strikes. We, the People, have to render the country ungovernable in order to bring the regime down. None of this will be easy, but that's what it will take.

What we desperately need, however, is a united opposition, both, to spearhead the resistance and to be in place to pick up the pieces once the regime crumbles.

These times are anything but normal. We cannot expect to resolve our situation through measures that provide the false comfort of normalcy.

The midterm elections are administered by the states. The felon has no control over state matters.

For that matter, Sharon, the felon is supposed to have no control over the imposition of tariffs. Yet, here we are.

We’re at 99 days and counting. The nation has not yet tested what might happen under the imposition of martial law. It would be a mistake to expect the norms to hold.

Can someone please tell me if the president and vice president have a surety bond I can complain against? https://bondsforthewin.com/ There are so many things a lot of people could make a claim about.

Also, isn't it correct that taking the oath of office and ten minutes later pardoning all the J6ers is giving aid and comfort to insurrectionists, thereby disqualifying him from office?
