Time to get personal: the outpouring of love and support I’ve gotten over the last 3 months has been an absolute inspiration, truly astonishing, lifting me up at the exact moment I needed a boost. And that has extended to the love and support I’ve seen all of you show one another, as a united community to fight for freedom and democracy, in the US and all over the world.

This community here has nearly tripled in size since the election — and it shows no signs of slowing down.

Now we need to build even more. Your support helps the amazingly talented producers, editors, and researchers who are not only helping me produce more content and to be there for you — but far more importantly, we’re working to build much more content with dozens of other creators, and to build a community with all of you to share what’s happening, to support each other even when times are terrible, and to lift up anyone here who aspires to do more as an activist or creator or both. We’ve been calling this effort Heroes for Democracy, and it’s only just getting started.

Our target is 5% — which would allow us to start a larger community Substack and to launch 1-2 more podcasts, for other voices we need to hear.
