Whether you're looking for last-minute holiday gifts, or looking for gifts for yourself, I got you. Here are the 7 books I read (or re-read) in 2024 that I recommend for any pro-democracy folks.
I am definitely a book person and those pictures of books made my heart race. And I’m the daughter of someone who called herself a “word woman.” These are brilliant choices, thank you.
Your list is good and I have read most. But one not on your list but is extraordinary is Invisible Rulers by Renee DiResta. Real eye opener about the use of social media to turn lies into reality.
I am updating my reading list right now. Thank you for the recommendations. For a hot minute I was very intrigued to find out what Donald Tusk had to say about phone ballots until I looked at the summary of your podcast and realized you were referring to someone else. Have a great holiday break.
And I just noticed the author’s full name, Bradley Tusk, was actually in the heading. Read too quickly. Another book I would recommend is Black AF by Michael Harriot. It is thoroughly readable and illustrates extremely well how American democracy has never really been fully democratic.

Any picture of giant heaps of books makes me happy. Thanks for the list of recommendations. I shall add them to my own giant heaps.
Happy Holidays and be safe. Already read your book so I’ll be reading the rest.
