Surprise! Something to lighten what has otherwise been a dreadful day: we’re throwing a pop-up event for our new project, Heroes for Democracy, uniting this amazing, beautiful community of voices and activists and citizens — and raising support for the courageous firefighters in the Los Angeles area (you can give right now here: cafirefoundation.org).

This is happening shortly, at 8-9 ET / 5-6 PT — featuring JoJoFromJerz, BrooklynDad (DEFIANT Dispatches), and a slew of other awesome folks.

We have limited capacity — so the first ~1000 folks who sign up at heroesfordemocracy.com will get an invite link.

Don’t worry, though — we’ll be having a lot more of these events soon (including here on Substack), and we’ll be letting everyone know.
