I certainly hope they are thorough because Hegseth is dangerously incompetent and unqualified!

"And anything Trump does to cover it up or put it out — like, say, firing Stebbens and trying to replace him with someone loyal, or at the most extreme, pardoning Waltz, Hegseth, and others — will only make the fire rage more."

I don't see how fire raging can overcome pardons.

Are they also looking into why Hegseth took his wife to military meetings?

Can the investigation only affect Hegseth?

Is unsecured classified info enough to impeach Vance and Trump?

Let’s musk come to top secret meetings also

The investigation concerns anyone who comes up in the scandal....even new personnel might be uncovered as the investigation progresses.

Regarding the unsecured classified information, yes, potentially it could be grounds for impeachment. The circumstances can dictate the strength of the case.

I asked because it's a military investigation, not DoJ or Senate.

This is what he said at the last of the article: If the report is indeed that damning, it will trigger the next phase in the scandal: a Senate investigation. 🔥🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Tristan, your report here gives me a modicum of hope today....something I've not had since Nov 5th. So, thank you for "talking me off the ledge" as they say. 😉

Accountability and integrity are absolutely essential, especially given everything that has currently transpired in the last 74 days of the new administration. What took place emphatically put our military personnel in harms way had this been any other administration… And I mean any other administration it could have been Bush, Obama, Clinton or even Biden and it would have been on a 24 Hour news loop on Fox and other legacy media requiring resignations and accountability. That being said this administration deserves to be held accountable for its actions because actions have consequences it’s time that we start standing up for these fundamental consequences because our United States military and the United States citizens deserve

accountability and integrity.

Obama himself said that this week. “Can you imagine if that was me??”

That Stebbins is in charge is encouraging, but it won’t be surprising if he doesn’t receive much cooperation in his investigation and is ultimately fired or indefinitely blocked from completing his work.

I have to say that the ICE and other government law enforcement officials who are doing all of the Great Pumpkin's dirty work are also government employees, and I don't consider them as working in the national interest. By the way, I have about 39 years of combined military and civilian government service.

There is soooo much here to unpack:

1. Waltz had Goldberg in his contacts.

2. Somehow Goldberg got added to a very sensitive military action discussion through Waltz' phone.

3. The DOD has an AG.

The FUCK?!?! What the HELL is the DOD doing with an AG?!? Wouldn't they have been swept out with all the others? What is even going on, it's all such chaos. Yeah, I'm quite sure they are all Very Serious People. By now, they are very likely Very Serious Fired People. This is stupid.

The Waltz-Goldberg connection is quite tasty. It speaks to a secrecy culture inside the administration on the level of a sieve. That there is a "drip drip drip" afterwards reinforces that impression. Could that be related to members of Trump's Dream Team beginning to look for viable exits from that shipwreck? A friendly journalist could help put together a cushy book deal on the outside.

Finally, the breach to the journalist. We were promised something by now from Anonymous, but they have been silent for a few weeks. Waltz was using his personal phone since Signal will not function on secure government phones. There are ways hackers can get into individual phones. Could not the hacker have entered Waltz' phone, identified Goldberg's contact, and dropped it into the Signal app for that group? Just asking questions.
