I just finished watching the last 8 hours of Cory Booker’s incredible filibuster. It was just historic, an all time record. If he could just change a few Republican minds it would be a game changer in defying trump/musk/vance. I’m glad you’re on Substack.

Now there's a voice I haven't heard since grade school.

I'm glad to see what you've done with your life and how we ended up on the same wave politically.

Hello from Estonia, Tristan! Keep doing this great work you are doing! Made me very happy to hear you today! Great perspective, finally, learning about Hawley-Smoot in school pays off.

Great video, Tristan. Thanks! Can you say more about our Congress’s ability to revoke the President’s ‘emergency’ powers to simply declare tariffs? Isn’t said emergency spurious? How can we pressure Congress specifically on this point to try to stop the tariff insanity?

If I am right, tariffs mean more things made in America and lower taxes. If I am correct, then I am going all in. https://tinyurl.com/yeyp6evt

Probably useful to do some historical research on US tariffs (McKinley days). The current market is global and trying to untangle supply chain manufacturing will be difficult if even possible. The time and cost to replace this manufacturing in the US would be years and billions/trillions. This could kill the US economy and cause a depression - some more history. Does the US have the trained labour? A lot of current US labour is being deported. The current impact of tariffs will mean higher costs to customers. It seems that 'lower' taxes were the election promise to the wealthier folks - so if that's your current income profile, then you might expect lower taxes or perhaps any added income would be applied to the soaring deficit?? Goodness ... life is so complex ...
