I just asked on Dan Rather’s “Steady” site, why a group of awake and aware journalists and writers couldn’t get together to offer us one subscription to political, legal political, and other news, so we can get truthful news somewhere. Especially for those of us in DC now that WAPO is complete garbage. It gets expensive subscribing to multiple sites to get information that isn’t through the Trump filter. I hope you are able to put together a good group. We need a reliable news outlet that reports reality, not conjecture or even lies. Hope this will be it! Thanks for this effort.
Tristan, i really appreciate your work. i am unable, with 810/month (ssi/ disability) income to subscribe to Any substackers. (i do sometimes repost, as i do for pro-democracy posts, health permitting. admittedly, the pledged coming efforts to eliminate social security and medicare are not helping my health, knowing i am but one of millions in this predicament is not helpful either.) i hope the many concerted efforts will keep true democracy alive here.
Substack is a good way to promote independent journalists
However one needs to grab interest of more people, non voters etc
None of them use Substack
You guys need to get together & Connect with YouTube (even TikTok) so it’s easier for people to discover Substack etc to help you

There is s dearth of left wing media....it's a media cemetery! Without good media we only talk to each other not to the country and the world. It is more necessray at this moment then money to candidates ...who raise millions and still can lose because
nobody got the message unless they spoke to them! Media with great messages can reiterate what the candidates are saying and get coverage locally , nationally and around the world. We can come up with our equivalent to Joe Grogan!!! What's the sense of have great ideas and great messaging if you keep it to yourself? Right now we have almost zippo newspapers totally supporting the Dems...and the future is def on line media, not hard copy papers and magazines. I'M IN ,TRISTAN!

Yes, Tristan, I will subscribe, but I can’t do so until I receive my Social Security check in February, 2/19 to be exact. I’ll do it then.
